Liputan6.com, Jakarta Indonesian Minister of Trade, Rachmat Gobel along with Minister of Small to Medium Enterprises, Anak Agung Gede Ngurah Puspayoga have both officially opened the 2015 Regional Domestic products and food exhibition (Pameran Pangan Nusa dan Produk Dalam Negeri Regional).

The event which has started since 31 May and will continue to facilitate attendees with a broad range of food and products crafted by small to medium businesses across the country until June 3 2015.

According to Minister Gobel, such exhibition is deemed necessary as to promote and better improve Indonesia's domestic products from small to medium businesses in facing the imminence of ASEAN Economic Community.

The event held specifically presents products from small to medium business of several regions such as Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Maluku and Kalimantan.

"Just like in World Food Milan, where the Indonesian food stands visited by 8.000 to 12.000 visitors, I believe that such exhibition could provoke a sense of craving and invites double the amount of people into visiting it. This means that Indonesian traditional culinary servings from small to medium businesses are not prominent only at the regional level but to national and better yet, international level," Minister Gobel told Liputan6.com on Sunday 31 May 2015.

Minister Gobel and Minister Ngurah went to blend in with the businessmen and businesswomen as they held a short conversation and monitoring of the food making processes.

They all agreed that Indonesian culinary can definitely excel in the international realm and compete in the global market. (Akp/Ein)
