Liputan6.com, Jakarta As many as 8.000 Indonesian labours (TKI) are now still stuck in Syria. The Indonesian authority has no clue as to their well- being. It has speculated that some of them have decided to join the notoriously known radical group ISIS.

The Head of the National Body for Indonesian Labour Placement and Protection (BNP2TKI), Nusron Wahid admitted how his team is still trying to evacuate the 8.000 Indonesian labours who are trapped in that nation.

"Up until now, we have no clue as to the address of the missing 8.000 TKI in Syria. I don't know whether they have joined ISIS, or whether they joined the government, whether or not they are still alive, we have no idea up until now about their conditions," Nusron explained to Liputan6.com correspondent through a written statement, Monday (23/3/2015).

Despite the lack of success in trying to evacuate the 8.000 TKI out there, Nusron assured the society that he will give sanctions to TKI Service Agency (PJTKI) who have deliberately sent off these people to join the radical group ISIS.

"I will summon the owner of the agency who is responsible for the missing of the 8000 Indonesian labous (TKI) in Syria.  If a TKI is found to be the member of ISIS. I will immediately investigate the agency who finance or give him/her access to do so. These agencies have disrupted the fundamental of our nation," Nusron continued.

As for Indonesians in general who went to join ISIS, BNP2TKI plans to re-educate, re- brand and re – fresh their ideological knowledge. If the aforementioned strategy failed, then those members will be imprisoned. (Akp/Ein)
