They have also resorted to other social media platform such as Twitter, Wechat and blogs.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Online prostitution as illegal business venture, has existed for quite some time with little action from the authority in terms of its abolishment.

For procurers, or what we colloquially heard as 'pimps', internet is the most effective and efficient medium to run a prostitution business as it cost less and much more profiting with connections enlarged to regional and global scale.

Using the internet, pimps do not have to rent a place to facilitate his/her workers or to feed them.

Furthermore, using online method, pimps can easily put photos, explanation, pricing, attractive design and many other type of information that make their job easier.

Special criminal Investigation Agency for Cybercrime (Ditreskrimsus) has successfully revealed 5 online prostitution businesses in the last two weeks.
