“If you take a closer look, you will realize how each of this sector is usually the one playing a particularly big role in weakening our economy and everything the economy is growing, one of these sectors would become a deficit. We are still lacking in effort to produce our own raw materials and capital,” he wrote, Friday (18/12/2015).
With that being said, he then necessitated the boosting of these particular sectors. As for petrochemical, the Indonesian government plans to develop its own industrial refinery for it.
In the sector of pharmaceutical, the government sought to issue more comprehensive regulations and deregulations of prescription drugs usage as well as for medical treatment next year.
They are keen to focus on setting the approved standardization on prescription drugs usage and also to push for investment opportunities to be expanded within this particular sector.
Meanwhile, for the iron and steel industry, Minister Darmin said that he will be encouraging the State Owned Enterprises to contribute to its development.
