Indonesia’s Tallest Building Symbolises its Investment Progress

President Jokowi has just launched the opening of the tallest building in the country 'Gedung Indonesia 1'.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Indonesia is now progressing into a more developed stage with its President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo reportedly just launched the official opening of the tallest building in the country this morning (23/5/2015). 

Two buildings 'Gedung Indonesia1' situated at Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta have been named as the tallest skyscraper in the country with its height reaching 303 metre and each building completed with 50+ storey building.

Building number 1 has 59 floors whereas the second one has 55. President Jokowi, who was accompanied by the CEO of media group, Surya Paloh, arrived at around 11.00 am. 

The plan behind such construction is to facilitate the creation of what now would be the office of PT. China Sonangol Media Investment.

"I came here to see the progress of the investment. I can assure you that it is going well so there is no room for people who think that such investment is halted along the way. Our economic growth is not only dictated by the budget we have but also by the investments being made," President Jokowi shared, Jakarta, Saturday (23/5/2015). 

The construction of these two buildings costs Rp 8 trillion in total. President Jokowi hopes for such display of progress to boost the nation spirit in contributing to the nation’s economic progress. (Akp/Ein)
