Girl in South Kalimantan Raped By Her Grandfather and Father

Liputan6.com, Hulu Sungai Tengah - A young girl of 15 was raped by his own father and grandfather. The rapes happened separately and both men did not know that the other man was raping the girl.

The incident happened in Hulu Sungai Tengah, South Kalimantan. The father is a man in his 30s, while the grandfather is in his 70s. Both men are identified with their initials I and H respectively.

"Between the suspect H and suspect I were acting independently, did not know of each other's penetration act to the victim," said the Chief Resort Police of Hulu Sungai Tengah, Adjutant Police Grand Commissioner Jimmy Kurniawan on Monday.

Police received the report on May 2023, and the police immediately investigates the case and gathered the evidences.

The grandfather was arrested first on 19 May 2023 in his own home, and he is currently in jail. The father was only arrested in early June.

Police said the suspects were persuading and forcing the victims to have sex with them to fulfill their sexual desire. Both are now facing up to 15 years in prison.

In March, a grandfather also raped his granddaughter in Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan. The rape acts happened twice at a palm oil plantation area.
