Bullying Case at Cilincing Vocational High School North Jakarta, 4 Students Being the Suspects

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - The police have named four students as suspects in a bullying case that occurred in a vocational high school in the Cilincing district, North Jakarta (Jakut). This bullying action went viral on social media.

"Yes, some students have been named as the suspects. The results of the examination show that out of six people, only four people had a role in committing violence against the victim. Meanwhile, two others played a passive role," said Chief of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cilincing Police AKP Alex Chandra when contacted, Wednesday (2/11/2022).

Alex said that four of the two suspects, initialed AM and FS, had been taken to jail. Meanwhile, two other suspects initialed FA and MS, are still being sought.

"When the video went viral, we coordinated with the school, then identified the names of the perpetrators. Our actions were then known by these children, they ran away from school. Meanwhile, we have detained the two of them for the next seven days," he said.

Currently, the case of bullying at a vocational school is still being checked by the investigator from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cilincing Police. The suspects were charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code.

Previously, this bullying incident occurred in a vocational school canteen in the Cilincing district, North Jakarta on Monday, October 31, 2022.

Alex revealed the chronology of the bullying incident. Initially, the victim with the initials AF approached one of the perpetrators who was eating.

"Then the victim tried the chicken that was in one of the perpetrators. He said it wasn't good, then he returned it to the plate," said Alex in his statement, Tuesday (1/11/2022).

Alex said the perpetrator was offended by the victim's actions. So that ends in bullying.

In more detail, Alex explained the roles of the four suspects. FS and FA are hitting the victim, while AM hit and threw a plastic chair at the victim, then MS, kicked the victim.

"The role of each suspect is hitting, kicking, and someone throwing a chair as seen in the video," he said.
