Previous Indonesian leaders have contributed ot the independence of the nation. Now, the government under President Jokowi is determined to encourage the whole population to continue to fight like their predecessors in the past.Â
The fight however, is different to that of the last time. This time, they are encouraged to help national character building through mental revolution.Â
This means the war is no longer orthodox, the challenge is not the hidden landmines but it is the intrinsic nature of every individual in facing the challenges today.
"The so-called Mental Revolution is expected to provoke the creation of a creative population with nationalistic souls and undying ambitions to move forward," Governor Basuki concluded. (Akp/Ein)
