Liputan6.com, Jepara - Police in Jepara, Middle Java province, arrested a woman who threw her own baby boy to the well. Ironically, it was the mother who reported to the police of his baby's disappearance in the first place.
The baby was reportedly gone last Friday (22/5). The Jepara police came to her home along with a sniffer dog and found the baby inside the well on Friday evening.

The well is 20 meters deep or around 65 feet. Helped by the volunteers and evacuation team from the regional anti-disaster squad (BPBD), the baby's dead body was evacuated.
The baby was only three-month-old.
Based on the police investigation, the mother was aware of her action. She reasoned that her baby was not growing, so she threw it.
But the police decided to invite a psychiatrist to examine her mental condition.
The husband has also been arrested.
Identical Case in East Java
Earlier last year, a mother in Jember Regency, East Java Province, also threw her one-month-old baby to the well.
The 25-year-old mother said she was mocked for being unable to breastfeed her child. She felt that she was not a true mother.
After throwing down her sleeping baby, she also acted as if her baby had disappeared. At that time, police also investigated the people who mocked her.
Fortunately, the babe survived.
