Megawati meminta KPK dibubarkan jika praktik korupsi sudah tidak ada, hingga terdakwa Robby Abbas, mucikari artis jalani sidang perdana.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Chairman of Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Megawati Soekarnoputri was given the daily honored duty of being the key speaker during Constitution day held in the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) building on August 18, 2015.

In her speech, Megawati claimed the likeliness of Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) entire dismissal as an institution.

Such claim was based on the premise that if a country is declared free from corruptors, then the institution will hold lesser importance in the future and thus such dismissal is viewed as an appropriate move to prevent the presence of any idle institution.

Vice President Jusuf Kalla went to clarify Megawati's claim as he said that her words were spoken out with reasonable backings and that it does not mean that her principality goes against the commission.

"Mega did not say those words, the ones confirming the dismissal of KPK. She did say that it is possible only if corruptions no longer govern this country, " Vice President Jusuf Kalla said at JIExpo, Jakarta, Wednesday (19/8/2015).

Jusuf Kalla further explained how the country currently relies heavily on an institution such as KPK, as corruptions are still damaging the nation's morale and continue to widen the gap between the rich and the poor. (Akp/Tnt)
