5 Achievements of Jokowi-JK's Working Cabinet

Almost 3 months have passed, Jokowi-JK and his government already shows improvement in many sectors.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Prior to the 100th day in power, President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo and his Vice Jusuf Kalla have proven to be productive leaders conducting the cabinets under them on the right track. The Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs Sofyan Djalil claims that the cabinets under both leaders have showed a desirable performance with high achievements. The successes of the working cabinet symbolize their commitment to make Indonesia far greater than before.

Sofyan is proud with the performance of the government under Jokowi- JK and he is content to see the Indonesian citizens as well as the leader of advisory council of Golkar Party, Akbar Tanjung, praised the achievements.

"Our work is being appreciated by the people, even Akbar Tanjung as an infamous political figure who in the past presents paradoxical opinion to the government, now praises our achievements," Sofyan told Liputan6.com in Jakarta, as written on Tuesday (13/02/2015).

Sofyan explains how there are many achievements that can be seen within the last 3 months under the government of Jokowi and JK. He even mentioned the success in decreasing the subsidy for fuel price.

"They removed subsidized premium fuel. Thank you, thanks a lot, Alhamdulillah due to the decline of worldwide fuel prices," he said.

The second achievement worth crediting for was the success of the government in gradually eliminating alleged Mafia in the oil and gas industry. Although the mission is still in the preliminary stage, they still deserve the credit for their courage and ability to at least start an operation against it.

The third one, within the range of 90 days, the government is evidently successful in controlling the sea and maritime aspects by combating illegal fishing done by various foreign vessels.

"Illegal fishing worth as much as Rp 300 trillion on an annual basis has been done for a few years. With many foreign vessels drowned, we now have more supply of fishes and the production of fish has now increased to a significant extent," he explained.

The fourth achievement is the success of the government along with the Capital Investment Coordination Agency (BKPM) in planning the soon- to be established National Integrated Single Point of Contact Service (PTPS) which will be legitimately put into action by the end of January 2015. With the improvement being made in this sector, investment in Indonesia will become easier and will be much more attractive.

"The last one, the working cabinet has hitherto showed a real and desirable performance. Since the system of reshuffling cabinet is possible, all Ministers give their best to prevent subject to reshuffling," Sofyan further explained. (Akp/Riz)
